Each year I would like to begin holding a "photo of the year" contest. Here's how it will work... I have chosen 10 of my favorite images from 2008. Now, you get to vote for a winner! There will be prizes given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place images. However, one voter will also win a prize! All you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post with your vote (the number found on the photo) by clicking on the word "comment" at the bottom of this post or you can email your vote to: "megan (at) memory-lane-photos (dot) com" and you will be entered to win! Giving is Awesome

Is anyone out there??? Hello?!?!

I wanted to give you an update on the Giving is Awesome photography giveaway that I was running. As of today you can see there are 518 *awesome* photographers who are contributing to this great cause and they are donating lots of the their time and money to help a needy family.

Entries for this contest were due Monday, January 12th and today was the day for the big announcement. However, I'm disappointed to say that I didn't receive any entries to help a needy family, not one. No emails, no posts on the blog, nothing {enter sad face here}. However, my time and money will still be donated to this great cause because I have a family in mind that I've thought about for some time now!

If someone comes to mind later, still send that email over telling me why that particular family deserves custom photography and I'll see what I can do!

I'd like to take this time to thank everyone for all of their support in 2008. I have lots of new ideas that I hope to bring into 2009 and hope you will all stick around! I hope to give the website and Memory Lane logo a new and fresh look! Sorry for not blogging lately, I've had limited access to a computer... my laptop is in the "shop" preparing for a new screen!
