Thursday's Tunes | Mama's Song

I realized that I've posted a Carrie Underwood song before but this is her newest song and I LOVE it. My Mom and I talked about it over and over again this past weekend. I had heard the song plenty of times but it didn't really hit me until I finally watched the video that my Mom was telling me about. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do.

We all had strawberry juice from mouth to toe! :)

I went through my list of 101 things today and realized that I have completed only 24 of my 101 things, 12 of which I haven't even blogged about and I only have 3 months from today to get them completed. I better get busy! My 1001 days ends on January 26, 2011.

I will be out of town until next Sunday working on one of my 101 things! :) In the meantime I have some posts scheduled for you to enjoy while I'm out of town featuring those things that I've yet to blog so far! Enjoy!

Hannah {2011 Senior}

Hannah is such a sweet girl! I was honored to photograph her for her senior portrait session. She comes from a family of 6 children and is the third graduate! We had fun on the Columbia waterfront and up and down main street. Enjoy...

MLP: What's your favorite song?
Hannah: Anything by Jack Johnson!

Photobucket

MLP: Whats your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Hannah: Butter Pecan

I love when seniors bring a prop of some sort along that means something to them or has to do with a sport or hobby that they love. Hannah brought along her guitar. I had the opportunity to hear her play during the session and she is good! Her Mother is very musically inclined too; she was the music teacher at the elementary school for many years and even taught me piano.

MLP: What do you do when your stressed?
Hannah: Sit on my bed and play my guitar.

Meagan + Clint | Raleigh Wedding Photographer

In May 2007, Meagan's friend Laura and Clint's friend Nick got married. Meagan and Clint not only met each other for the first time but they also were each other's escort down the aisle as Meagan was a bridesmaid and Clint was a groomsman on Laura and Nick's big day. Little did they know this would not be the last time they would be walking down the aisle together!

In October 2009, Clint popped the question and Meagan said yes! I was honored to photograph their big day last month. I couldn't keep my eyes off the two of them. They are so in love and it showed all day as they were each getting ready and then even more once they were together.

Church: Edenton Street Methodist Church
Reception: The State Club
Cake: Swank Cake Design

Some of the girls started their day off at Jolee Day Spa in Cameron Village for Hair and Make-up.

Then everyone met up at the church to get dressed and put on those last minute touches.

Photobucket

Everyone watched on as Meagan's Dad sees her for the first time in her wedding dress.

Photobucket

Sexy bride and groom, huh?

The bridal party was shuttled from the church to the reception by Raleigh Trolly. What a fun way to ride! This is one of my most favorite shots of the day.

The party was so much fun. The Magic Pipers band kept the crowd lively the entire night!

Every good party must come to an end, but why not leave in style?!?!

Meagan + Clint, Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your wonderful day. I can't wait to hear all about your honeymoon! xoxo

Jonny Waters & Co. | Band Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing Jonny Waters + Co. back in August. Jonny Waters is a multi-talented musician from the Inner Banks of North Carolina. He and I were in high school and marching band together. While he started his musical career in our hometown marching band he has since played with numerous friends along the way. Jon's music has been influenced by his life's path, from being raised on a farm in small town USA; to spending hours on the Albemarle Sound farming the waters; to keeping the peace and guarding our freedom in the US Army during a tour in Iraq; to being stationed in Germany away from his family and friends; to gaining the fundamentals of the music industry at South Plains College in Lubbock, Texas; to writing and recording his original hits; and developing his grass roots fan base from Texas to Tennessee to North Carolina and the Tidewater, Virginia area.

Jon has focused his talent into his acoustic guitar. His sound is country with a strong influence of southern rock and blues.
