"Take it or Leave it" Tuesday!
**My Baby Girl: I can't start off a list of "things that I approve/like" without mentioning my baby girl. I'm very fortunate to be able to stay home with her and watch each second of her growing by leaps and bounds! She definitely warms my heart!
**Hand Sanitizer: In this day of sickness, germs, and especially "swine flu" I have used more hand sanitizer than I think imaginable. It's everywhere: diaper bag, car, bedroom, living room, office.
**Your Blog Comments: Thanks to all who post comments on the blog. I love reading them! I'd like to thank everyone who has posted a comment on the contest posts as well. Don't forget there is still time to vote for your "best of 09 family" photo. And one lucky winner receives a prize too! Just scroll down to the next blog post to enter!
**Crispy Onion Chicken: I have seen many recipes for 'crispy onion chicken' where you coat your chicken with french fried onions, but I think I have found the best crispy onion chicken recipe out there! We had it last night for supper and there is a left-over chicken breast waiting on me in the fridge to have for lunch. {That's why it's still on the brain.}
**Earthquakes: My heart breaks for the people of Haiti. This is just so sad. How can you help? If you can afford to spare $10, please at least text "Haiti" to 90999. You can also pre-purchase the album from the Hope for Haiti Now on iTunes by clicking here. It's only $7.99 and at least you'll get some sweet tunes out of it. If you can give more you can donate through the website above or call 1-877-99-HAITI.
**Junk Mail: Whether it arrives via snail mail or email. I mean, really, does anyone even read it? Both mailbox's of mine have lately been out of control. Although 0% interest on a credit card or 50% discount on laser hair removal sounds like a good deal, I think I'll pass.
**Sleeplessness: Yes I am forunate to have a baby who sleeps through the night and has been for a while now, but I'm really missing those naps that she'd take during the day. I'm hoping that's it just because those mean teeth are trying to come through and that as soon as they do, we'll be back to normal!

2010 Ride to a Wish
Tyrell County was selected for its low-traffic roads, beautiful scenery, and historical significance. Riders will begin and finish in the town of Columbia, which was established in 1793 along the banks of the beautiful Scuppernong River. The course heads south through farmlands and marshes to the north shore of the largest natural lake in North Carolina, Lake Mattamuskeet. From there riders will circumnavigate the lake, having an opportunity to see marshes, cypress trees, and migratory waterfowl. After completing a lap around the lake, riders will head north back to Columbia and the after-ride events.
To learn more about the ride and Miss Eleora you can visit the website: http://www.ridetoawish.com/

Happy New Year!
Woah! Where did 2009 go? I was very blessed in the past year. From my photography career to welcoming a baby into the world and I couldn't be more thankful. There's so much I'd like to do in 2010. I thought I'd share a few of my new years resolutions with you. I think if I type them for all to see then maybe, just maybe, I'll stick to them.
1.) I'm actually not a big fan of resolutions but I do have my 101 list that I've been working on. Seems that it was put on the back burner in 2009, so I'm hopeful that in 2010 I will complete lots more! I have completed a few things on this list within the past few months, but just haven't blogged about them yet, promise I'll get to it (see #3).
2.) Be less wasteful. Just today I was cleaning out the refrigerator and there was a perfect example of how wasteful I can be. For goodness sake there's children starving in this world, and I'm having to throw out food that's gone bad. Made my heart hurt. Seriously.
3.) To blog more. There have been so many things that I've wanted to blog about and just haven't gotten around to it yet. I read lot of blogs. From decorating idea blogs to mommy blogs and definitely lots of photographers blogs. The one thing I love is being able to tell how real a person is through their blog. It's extra special when a photographer posts something completely non-related to their photography work- whether it be about their family, something they ate, even their dog- it just makes them more real. I hope to post a lot more this year.
